UNESCO World Heritage Visitor Centre
Description
The visitor center of the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site is considered the most modern museum in the Alps. In the exhibition, you can experience the World Heritage Site with all your senses and immerse yourself in the exciting and diverse world of the Alps. Fascinating films, interactive experience stations and state-of-the-art technology awaken the spirit of exploration in young and old alike. The World Nature Forum deals with all processes relating to the formation and change of the Alps as well as the climatic challenges and offers a varied exhibition experience for explorers aged 3 to 99.
No previous knowledge is required and most of the exhibition is in four languages (D, F, E and I). The excursion is possible all year round, except on December 25 and January 1, when the museum is closed. Monday is a day off. A visit to the exhibition takes around two hours and is also suitable for groups of a maximum of 20 to 30 people. Day admission is unlimited between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and includes the permanent exhibition on the second floor as well as the daily openings. All information material on the UNESCO World Heritage Site is provided free of charge.
